Oh, it's definitely time for cat, book, and possibly strong drink.
A little while back, it came to light that
one of the authors of SOPA was a copyright violator; now a co-sponsor of a bill requiring that public assistance recipients be tested for drug abuse
has been arrested and charged with DUI.
I'm
not perfect. I make mistakes... but I do my best to not be a fucking hypocrite.
I am so tired of the
do as I say, not as I do mentality.
I am
so tired of the two(+)-tiered system of justice: one set of rules for white men, one set of rules if you can afford a hotshit lawyer, "what rules?" if we're talking about a corporation or a government official.
Explain to me, in detail, when and why egalitarianism should be abandoned? Why the hell should rules I'm supposed to obey NOT apply to some Other? (I *will* grant that allowing firetrucks and ambulances and squadcars to ignore traffic lights and speed limits contributes to the general public good. Please argue other contraventions by case...)
