  <description>I&apos;ve seen a couple of links to the big Faux News story about the eclipse Monday night...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&quot;Do we need flashlights?&quot;  Um, no.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Moon is going through the Earth&apos;s shadow.  It&apos;s going to get dark &lt;i&gt;there&lt;/i&gt;, not here on Earth - here&apos;s not even going to get as dark as a standard-issue new Moon night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&apos;s kinda funny, but I wince at basic science illiteracy.  And where folks who watch Fox News are &lt;i&gt;measurably&lt;/i&gt; &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/brunitedstatescanadara/671.php?nid=&amp;amp;id=&amp;amp;pnt=671&amp;amp;lb=&quot;&gt;more misinformed&lt;/a&gt;  than folks who get their news from other sources, I  kind of want to cry.
